People try on this device and try to understand how the cameras differ from the basic models, and most importantly, how suitable they are for them and for what they photograph. For the Galaxy S20 Ultra, I wrote a detailed and separate review of the cameras, but I wanted to avoid this for the S21 Ultra, sending it to the old text. But it is clear that people want to see not such text, but concrete examples of what they will get from the flagship and what it can be used for.

Therefore, this text appeared, in which we will try to talk about photography as such and about what exactly you can get from the cameras in the S21 Ultra. And I'll start, perhaps, with a picture of the Moon, which was in the review and impressed many.
I shot it handheld, using the x30 hybrid zoom, the result was decent. There are no AI algorithms that substitute a picture of the Moon from the image database. An honest photo taken at a certain point in time.
The fact that you can take a picture of the Earth's satellite with your hands makes an indelible impression, this is a clear demonstration of how far technology has fled. But let's be honest, how often will you shoot the moon? Once? It is possible that a dozen times, and then you get tired of it. The moon is a stone ball, almost nothing changes on it, and such pictures can be safely called technical ones, the differences will be minimal from picture to picture. Yes, and the black and white gamma makes the hybrid zoom winning.
The x10 optical zoom module allows you to take pictures that are well known to photographers with long lenses. For myself, I call such shots romantic, they have a beautiful rendering that cannot be achieved with ordinary lenses. Let's take a look at the picture of Belorusskaya Square from Lesnaya Street.
Details are eaten away by the low aperture of the module, the signboards show slightly blurred fonts, but the picture itself is warm, it has a mood. And it's not just the warm light of the sunset, the question is exactly how the lens saw the picture, rendered the background with the buildings. Here you can play with how the plans look in your pictures, for example, St. Basil's Cathedral in the background of the picture is a little out of focus, and the foreground is worked out better - than you don't have an artistic effect.
Unfortunately, many come from the erroneous assumption that any lens photographs the same way and you don’t need to adapt to it. Often it was a moan from novice photographers who bought a SLR camera, bought a couple of good lenses, but the pictures turned out to be very far from their expectations. The reason is a misunderstanding of how each particular lens works and what is best to shoot with it. With smartphone cameras, an old story has taken on new life, the discussions are exactly the same. People want to point the camera at something in the distance and get the clearest possible picture, nothing else worries them. The physical limitations of the camera, low light sensitivity do not always allow achieving such a result.
The disadvantages of optics and the matrix can often be used for good, for example, to take a picture of buildings in the distance and backlight.
On the other hand, the x10 zoom is not that bad, look at the mosaics on the facade of the Metropol, you can see them in detail.
Zoom as such is important when you can't get close to the subject, for example, it's on the other side of the lake.
Or, somewhere in the forest, you spotted animals, like in this picture with a deer.
Perhaps, the picture of a deer has no artistic value, but it is an excellent memory, and even on a smartphone without such a zoom it is simply impossible to take such a picture for memory. Finally - a shot that proves that with sufficient lighting, you can not chase an animal in the mountains, but catch it in the frame.
We figured out the close-up shots and why they are needed, although, by and large, we went through the tops, but to work on the topic in detail means to abandon all other camera modules in the S21 Ultra, and here there is something to talk about.
The main camera module is 108 megapixels. I, like most people, use the main module more often than others in everyday life. Let's take a look at a series of photos to appreciate its capabilities.

The photographs are varied, show the quality of color reproduction and the fact that you can shoot not only nature, but people and animals. Those who want to get more detail should stop at the maximum resolution of 108 megapixels (the default is 12 megapixels, 9 points are combined into one).
In some cases, I want to get the maximum detail, so that later, if necessary, work with the image (almost never my hands reach this point, but the desire itself is such). There are no special inconveniences for Toyota Corolla in the Central Business District from the fact that the picture is saved for almost a second - it is instantly on the device. Look at the pictures in the highest resolution. Higher detail, each photo retains more detail.
