The communicator runs Windows Mobile 6.5. The device has some developments from Asus, a proprietary menu for working with wireless interfaces, its own player and picture viewer, as well as a number of other things, but in general this is a typical WM 6.5.

The communication quality of the Garmin-Asus M10 did not raise any complaints. The volume of the call and conversational speakers is average. Sometimes you want to add it, but there is no reserve, but this is a problem of many modern smartphones and communicators. The vibrating alert seemed weak to me, I don’t know if this is due to the weight of the device or to the “weak” vibration motor.

The cost of the Garmin-Asus M10 at the start of sales is an average of 20,000 rubles, and now you can find it in a limited number of stores, the general launch should only take place. The situation with the device is not easy: it has a certain charm, it is special and stands out against the background of many modern communicators of the same type with a thorough approach to the navigation component, but the price crosses everything out at once.

For comparison, an analogue of this HTC Touch Diamond2 communicator costs an average of 15,000 rubles. Much more attractive in all respects, the Samsung i8000 (WiTu AMOLED) costs an average of 16,000 rubles. It's not easy to write this, but the gray HTC HD2 costs an average of 19,000 rubles, that is, a thousand cheaper than the Garmin-Asus M10, which loses to the HTC device in everything.

The result is very simple: given the current pricing policy of companies, this device may be of interest, in my opinion, only to true fans of Asus motherboards and Garmin navigators. The adequate price for this model at the start of sales is in the range of 14,000-16,000 rubles, taking into account the rich delivery package and the licensed version of Garmin navigation. If you set such a price tag, the communicator may be an interesting option for those users who need a navigator and a communicator in one piece of hardware that can work as a navigator out of the box. At a price of 20,000 rubles, the device loses to almost any communicator taken at random in the middle or high price category in many ways and is simply not interesting.
